I Write Better Because of a Plagiarism Checker

When I was in school, I used a plagiarism remover program anytime I had to turn in a writing assignment. The reason I did this was because some of the teachers took a hard stance on using other people’s words in our own essays. It was a fine line to walk since we had to use various resources to create our writing pieces. When I heard that one teacher actually gave zeros on an assignment because there was a slight bit of plagiarism, I knew that I needed to get a program to help make sure that I did not have that in my own writings.

I get why a teacher would do this, but I think that teachers sometimes forget how hard it is when writing is not a strong point. That is the group I fall into, but I did not want it to get me a zero on anything that I gave genuine effort to. I looked around for different plagiarizer programs and websites, and I found the perfect one. Now I did have to pay to use it, but I found that the free ones were not as helpful to me as the one I have to pay for. The old saying that you get what you pay for is true!

I used it on my first essay for the teacher who likes to give zeros, and I ma so glad that I did. While I did not intentionally copy anything word for word, that is what happened on a few different parts of the essay. I was able to correct those, putting the ideas into my own words a lot better. Without this program, I would have failed that class for sure since the essay writings were the bulk of the grade. To be honest, it also helped me hone my writing skills a bit more too!
